INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
(This does not include worship times)
If a level 2 or 3 snow emergency is declared any time after 3:00 pm on the day of programming, all children and youth programming are cancelled. If a level 1 snow emergency is in effect on the day of programming will take place but parents are asked to use their own discretion. If weather is forecasted to worsen and potentially exceed a level 1 snow emergency, on the day of programming taking place all children and youth are cancelled. The cancellation will be communicated via email, texting system, and social media.

Be sure to select the "2026 High School Summer Mission Trip" fund to make the payments for the mission trip.
Basic Info of the Trip
Purpose of the trip: make disciples by physically building a church and hosting a VBS.
Where are we going? Moca, DR
When are we going? Monday, June 8th - Monday, June 15, 2026
Who can go? Max of 20 total youth & adults. Students entering 9th grade in summer 2026 through graduating seniors (12th grade) in Summer 2026.
How much? Cost: $800 per person- Important note: We are willing to work with you as you make payments. If finances are a barrier, but God is calling you to go on the trip, please contact Josh Riffle at [email protected].
“I am going” payment of $100 per person (non-refundable), and registration is due by Sunday, March 1st. The payment contributes to the $800 total.
Suggested payment plan:
2nd payment- $250 per person- Sunday, April 12th
3rd payment- $250 per person- Sunday, May 3rd
4th payment- $200 per person/ or any final payments are due by Sunday, May 31st.
Team meetings:
1st team meeting- Sunday, February 22nd- 5 pm-5:30 - in the youth building of VC.
2nd team meeting- Sunday, April 12th- 5 pm-5:30 - in the youth building of VC.
3rd team meeting- Sunday, May 3rd-- 5pm-5:30- in youth building of VC.
4th team meeting Sunday, May 31st- 5pm- 5:30 - in the youth building of VC.

May 13 -Celebration + Testimony Night Hear what God is doing and share your story!
May 20 - 8th grader night only- 8th graders going into 9th grade are invited to the youth building to meet High School youth, play games, and eat some food. We want to use this time to building relationships with the 8th graders to help them transition into High School LifeGroup on Sunday nights.
May 27 No LifeGroup—use this time to live it out and BLESS one!
June 3- Middle School LifeGroup is BACK—don’t miss it! It’s draft night! Bring a friend and jump in! We’re welcoming the incoming 6th graders in a big way, so come ready to cheer loud, have fun, and help them feel at home!

May 3 – Mini Golf + Senior Night - 6:00–8:15pm @ Putt-N-Play (Grove City)
Celebrate our seniors + build community! Seniors are FREE, others $10 (bring extra money for if you want ice cream or to play games). Rides: please plan your own. Parents are welcome to hang out with us if you would like.
May 10 – Mother’s Day- No High School LifeGroup—go love your mom well!
May 17 – Fire + S’mores Night Come hang out with us, enjoy worship, and learn about Jesus.
May 24 – Murder In the Dark (an interactive card game) 8pm-9:30pm at the youth building at Village Chapel Church.
May 31 – Movie Night 🎬-6–8pm @ the Youth Building of VC- Chill night, invite a friend, and connect. (8th graders moving into the 9th grade are welcome to attend) We are watching the movie “where hope grows.”
Summary of the movie- Where Hope Grows is a PG-13 (alcohol use, binge drinking, thematic issues, an intense accident scene, and discussions regarding teen sexuality) rated Christian-based drama about a depressed former baseball player, Calvin Campbell, whose life is turned around by his friendship with "Produce," a grocery store employee with Down syndrome. The film focuses on themes of redemption in Christ, joy, and overcoming personal crises.
